About Vascular Designs

Vascular Designs is a medical device company located in San Jose, California. After watching three close family members suffer from and eventually succumb to cancer, inventor Robert Goldman founded the company with the mission of creating a new way to battle the disease and others like it. His charter was to provide hope for another tomorrow to those fighting a terminal prognosis.

After 8 years of research and development, Vascular Designs developed IsoFlow™, an infusion catheter that allows for the direct delivery of physician-specified fluids, such as medication, into a selected vasculature. With IsoFlow’s unique design, fluids can be pushed into areas of the body that could not previously be treated directly. With this approach to fluid delivery, physicians can increase drug concentrations at targeted sites while reducing systemic exposure, thereby improving treatment and patient outcomes.

Vascular Designs secured FDA marketing clearance for its IsoFlow catheter as a Class II medical device in May 2009. The company has four patents pending for the innovative ideas behind IsoFlow. IsoFlow is available now to physicians and patients interested in pursuing this breakthrough treatment option.
